Instructions
Here are some basic instructions to guide you with your baking experience:
- Dip the cutter in flour for each cut; dust the dough generously with flour to make using detailed cookie cutters easier
- It doesn't take much to make an impression, so be gentle when pressing to avoid breakages
- Tapping on the backside of the cookie cutter may help with the release of the dough
Some detailed cookie cutters may be difficult to work with, but with a little bit of practice and patience, your cookie cutter will work great.
Here is a great, easy cookie recipe for use with our cookie cutters. These cookies are soft, delicious, and will hold all of the details even when baked!
INGREDIENTS:
- 100g of butter, softened
- 100g of caster sugar
- 1 large egg, room temp
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 200g of plain flour, plus extra for dusting
1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
2. Put the butter in a bowl and beat it until soft and creamy. Beat in the sugar, then the egg and vanilla, and finally the flour to make a dough. If the dough feels a bit sticky, add a little bit more flour and knead it in.
3. Pull pieces off the dough and roll them out to desired thickness. Using your cookie cutter print, press the cutter on the dough to make your biscuit shape.
4. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet or tray and bake in oven for 8-10 mins or until the edges are just brown. Leave to cool for 5 mins. Now enjoy your delicious cookies!
